While our business is relatively young, our experience is vast. Arnold Claassen, owner and founder of African Select Safaris, will be your professional hunter during your safari and provides a dedicated personal experience. Just like the name states, we offer a bespoke experience where each animal is carefully selected just for you.

DO IT
We make use of various accommodations in the vicinity of the hunting areas, as hunting is planned different parts of the beautiful country.
Depending on the animals on the hunting list, there will be some hours of driving, but you will be fortunate to see areas in our country that photos can’t describe.
I was brought up in Kirkwood, a small town in the Eastern Cape, approximately 45min drive from the Port Elizabeth airport. I grew up hunting the thick valley bushveld on a weekly basis. I have an exceptional hunting network built up in the area with around 150 000 acres of land that is privately owned and not over hunted. In the Kirkwood area we have a phenomenal amount of Grysbuck, Duiker, Bushbuck, Nyala, Kudu, impala, blesbuck, zebra, waterbuck, blue wildebeest, warthog, bushpig. There are other species in the area but these are the species in large numbers you’ll see often and in very good trophy quality.

STAY WITH US
We have fixed accommodation in all the hunting areas that you shall visit, where food and beverages shall be provided. This minimizes driving between hunting areas and will be arranged according to your wish list. Food—we mostly eat venison that comes freshly from the game that you have hunted. The meals will consist of steaks, stews, and soups with all the usual fresh vegetables. All sodas, water, beer, and wine will be supplied.
